Blizzcon 2016 has begun, and we’re ready to find out what we can expect in October.
That said, Blizzard has just announced the first set of expansions for Heroes of Warcraft.
First up is Heroes of The Storm’s first expansion, Heroes of Azeroth.
It’ll launch in the fall of 2017, and it’s got all the usual heroes and villains from the Warcraft universe in the form of Azmodan, the last surviving king of the Horde.
Azmodans arrival also includes new playable classes, new skins, and more.
As with the first expansion for Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria, Heroes will be free-to-play.
However, Blizzard is offering a few other perks for paying players, including the ability to unlock a free copy of the game when purchasing the game for real money.
In addition, players who are members of Blizzard’s Heroes of Battle program will be able to redeem their BlizzCon badge and be eligible to participate in a Blizzard Live chat with Blizzard employees.
Finally, Blizzard will be showing off the new Heroes in person at BlizzCon.
While BlizzCon will be held in San Francisco, attendees can expect to see players playing the game in person in the coming weeks.
We’ll be here to report back on all of this as we get closer to BlizzCon, but for now, take a look at the first wave of Heroes of Heroes!
