In an email to The Australian Financial Review, Mr Tuckett said the company was “not aware” of any restrictions on trading in the futures market, but added that the company did “not provide options trading services”.
“It is not a function of options trading that we are aware of,” he said.
“We are aware that some of our traders do not accept trading in options and the trading process is managed by a separate team, which includes the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) which oversees futures trading.”
Mr Tucks said he had “not heard any specific complaints about the trading of options”.
The ABC has contacted both the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission and the Australian Federal Police for comment.
